Office Depot, one of the world’s largest sellers of office products, has chosen Spring Global Mailas its sole supplier for European mail distribution, the international mail company announced
today. The contract, worth EUR 180 million over a three year period, will see Spring managing thedistribution of 175 million catalogues each year across ten European countries.Spring said it has already been working for Office Depot for a number of years, distributingits Viking Direct catalogues in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Ireland. Acombination of proactive account management, reliable service and reduced costs resulted in it alsobeing awarded the distribution of catalogues in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy.
Office Depot Inc. is one of the world’s leading supplier of office products and services,generating annual revenues of over USD15 billion and employing 52,000 people. Operating under thebrand names Office Depot, Viking Office Products and Viking Direct, the multinational corporationis a leader in every distribution channel – from retail stores and contract delivery to cataloguesand e-commerce. In Europe, it currently operates in 14 countries and is planning to move intoseveral others.

Spring Global Mail, based in Amsterdam and with more than 1,200 employees worldwide, is ajoint venture company formed in 2001 by TNT, Royal Mail and Singapore Post.
