DHL expands Day Definite delivery to Eastern Europe

DHL Express has expanded its Europlus Day Definite delivery service to Romania, Bulgaria, Russiaand Turkey. The service now covers 34 European countries and territories, with Greece set as the

next destination.

The Europlus service offers door-to-door transport of single parcels, multi-parcel shipmentsand pallets, covering weights up to 1,000kg per piece or 2,500kg per shipment. Product featuresinclude competitive transit times, online tracking and optional extras such as receiver pays andcash on delivery.

The expansion of the Europlus service reflects the company’s increasing provision of servicesto Eastern Europe, which aims to meet growing customer demand by providing delivery to all EUcountries as well as to neighbouring territories, DHL UK said. In Russia, Moscow and St Petersburgare covered by the service.

The Europlus service aims to facilitate increasing business links between Western and EasternEurope and by providing a highly standardized delivery solution for regular shipments, the serviceextension allows DHL to compete directly against companies already operating in the region.
