The US state of Florida has renewed its express contract with DHL to the value of USD 5 million(EUR 3.6 million) over three years.
Thirty-seven Florida agencies will benefit from the deal which sees DHL appointed theexclusive carrier for the state.
“We are delighted by this latest vote of confidence from the State of Florida,” said CharlesBrewer, DHL executive vice-president for sales.
“We’ve found that many businesses and government institutions appreciate a customer-focusedcarrier that can provide both reliable delivery and customer-centric solutions that elevate thecustomer experience,” he said.
Through the new contract, DHL will provide several customized services including a specialvisibility programme to identify time-sensitive shipments and a dedicated customer service line forFlorida users.
Under the contract, DHL will continue to provide time-sensitive deliveries for a number ofstate agencies, including medications, vaccines and other temperature-sensitive shipments.
