DHL has announced that Dan McHugh has been appointed as CEO of DHL Express in Asia Pacific, andwill also chair the DHL Express Asia Pacific Management Board. He has been Acting CEO in the region
since July this year when then-CEO Scott Price was named as CEO of DHL Express in Europe.McHugh joined DHL Express Asia Pacific in April 2005 as Senior Vice President, Commercial,with responsibility for sales, marketing, pricing, market research, product development andcustomer service for the Express unit in Asia Pacific.
“Dan has a proven track record, both in DHL and in the logistics industry, as well as anexcellent knowledge of Asia,” said John Mullen, Global CEO of DHL Express. “I am confident that Danwill write another important chapter in the DHL Asia Pacific success story, further consolidatingour market leadership in the region.”
Before joining DHL, McHugh was Executive Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing andCustomer Support of APL, the Singapore-based ocean transportation and logistics subsidiary ofNeptune Orient Lines. He previously served as President, Asia/Middle East for APL. He hadpreviously held senior positions with Sea-Land Services.
