DHL launches GoGreen, ePost in France

DHL has launched its GoGreen environmental express service, and ePost, its Internet-based corporatemailing system, in France.



GoGreen, launched by DHL parent Deutsche Post World Net in 2005, compensates, at a client’srequest and for an increased payment of 2%, the CO2 emissions generated by a shipment throughequivalent carbon reduction through a renowned environmental project.

Environmental projects worldwide benefiting from the DHL GoGreen compensation scheme varyfrom the development of renewable energies to reforestation in the Amazon.

“It is a particularly innovative service for our sector, since we are neutralising the CO2emissions of our business clients on their behalf,” said Stéphane Corthier, director-general of DHLExpress France, announcing the launch of the scheme in France.

For the ePost initiative, DHL has combined with IT company Experian, a specialist in customerrelations, to take over, via the Internet, all the tasks relating to corporate clients’ ordinaryand registered mail dispatch – from printing and envelope filling to drop-off and registration atthe post office. ePost was launched in France this week.
