GLS is now offering its Global Business-Parcel service in France. The product has already beenavailable in various other European markets for several years.
In response to a CEP-Research article on August 28, the European parcels company stressedthat Global Business-Parcel is not a new product. “There is no new strategy,” a spokeswoman said.
GLS France said in a statement that it had started offering Global Business-Parcel at thebeginning of July, and had thus added 50 more destinations to 35 existing ones. New destinationsincluded the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Russia, India, China and Japan, and transittimes from France varied from 4-10 days.
The Global Business-Parcel product had already been offered in Germany, Austria and severalother countries for some years, the GLS spokeswoman pointed out. From Germany, GLS offers regulardelivery times to world business centres such as the USA, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore of just2-4 days.
