DHL ties up home delivery with Bon-Ton network

DHL has struck a deal with one of the largest regional department store chains in the USA, Bon-Ton,to provide exclusive small package delivery.



Bon-Ton operates 278 stores in 23 states in the north-east, mid-west and upper great plainsand offers brand-name fashion, cosmetics, home furnishings and bridal wear.

“We evaluated all of the major US delivery providers based on their ability to serve theentire Bon-Ton network,” said Robert Hook, Bon-Ton Stores divisional vice-president.

“Bon-Ton looked at all of the carriers’ service reliability and commitment to technology andautomated shipping systems, their ability to support Bon-Ton’s e-commerce business and overallvalue. DHL’s strength in all these areas, along with exceptional customer support, was the reasonfor selecting DHL,” he added.
