DHL is offering faster express transit times from the Middle East to US destinations following its$1.2 billion (EUR 890 million) investment in its US ground and air networks over the last two
years.The express operator announced that it now offers an enhanced two day delivery to the USA anda next day service to New York for export shipments and personal packages.
As part of its enhanced service, DHL has modernised and expanded several of its majoroperational hubs in the US, which it says has resulted in an increase in ground delivery capacityby 60 %, reduced transit times and same day clearance of 99% of import shipments.
“This recent enhancement to our network will ensure that our customers are provided with themost competitive express service offering to one of the Middle East’s major markets,” said DavidWild, Commercial Director for DHL Express Middle East. “We are able to leverage on our vast airnetwork and extensive infrastructure, to help customers to be more competitive in their businesswith the USA.”
