TNT has created a new division to cater for its growing business in the multimedia andentertainment market.
The Dutch group has won a number of high profile contracts recently, especially in the UK,with Universal Music and Pinnacle Arvato media services, and is faced with a sudden surge indeliveries to thousands of retail outlets, handling films, music and computer games.
The company said in a statement today that it was having to move hundreds of millions ofitems in the UK alone.
“Our portfolio of customers has built up rapidly and we’re expecting to make several othermajor contract announcements later this year, including some of the biggest names in the market,”said Danny Geach (pictured left), general manager of the new TNT media & entertainmentdivision.
“The very nature of this sector of the entertainment industry means the public want to havethe most up-to-date and widest range of music CDs and DVDs available to them at all times.
“We are established as a critical component in ensuring the fastest and most reliable transitof items to CD and DVD retail outlets across the country – each and every day of the week.”
