TNT Post signs major multi-year contract with Dutch publisher

TNT wins big publisher deal

TNT Post has signed a huge deal with Dutch publisher Sanoma Uitgevers to deliver 73 millionmagazines, 17 million mail items and 800,000 parcels every year in a multi-year contract.



The parties did not disclose the financial value or length of the contract, but it will seeTNT delivering some of the Netherlands’ largest circulation magazines to households, such asLibelle, VT Wonen and Donald Duck for years to come.

The companies announced that they are now also exploring opportunities for working togetherin the area of database management with TNT Post subsidiary Cendris and using TNT Post’s NotaBox,which allows consumers to receive, pay and save bills electronically.

The agreement is an important expansion of their current consumer magazine delivery deal. “Weare very satisfied with the way TNT Post is working with us and so have decided to commit ourselvesto TNT for a longer period,” said Henk Scheenstra, chief operating officer for Sanoma Uitgevers’print division.

TNT management board member Harry Koorstra commented: “We are offering Sanoma Uitgevers acomplete package of services and solutions, from mail delivery to electronic billing. I amconvinced that this contract will result in creative and innovative cooperation.”

With more than 80 consumer magazines and well over 125 websites, Sanoma Uitgevers is thelargest multimedia publisher in the Netherlands. In 2006, the group reached net sales ofEUR 531 million.
