TNT Express announced the promotion of Chris Spanjaard to director of operations for South-EastAsia.
Spanjaard has been with TNT for eight years. He moved to Asia in 2002 to take on the role ofsenior manager in operations & network development for the TNT China Mail division, helpingestablish network capabilities in China. Before that Spanjaard worked in various TNT offices in theNetherlands and Germany.
”The Asia business environment is becoming more and more sophisticated and increasingly weare seeing a demand for highly integrated services,” commented Onno Boots, regional managingdirector, TNT South-East Asia, welcoming Spanjaard on board.
“TNT will grow its domestic and regional capabilities in emerging South-East Asian marketsand facilitate companies’ access to other international markets.”
The company wants to build extensive networks to strengthen the region’s connectivity toEurope and within Asia, a key strategic initiative, it says, to achieve 10-15% revenue growthworldwide this year.
