Leading Spanish express company MRW has opened two new logistics platforms in Spain, one in thenorthern city of San Sebastian and the other in the south at Guadix, Granada. The new facilities
bring the total number of hubs MRW has in Iberia to 41.The company has also expanded its franchise chain rapidly over the past year and now has 771outlets throughout Spain, Gibraltar, Portugal and Andorra following the opening of two new branchesin Valencia and Sevilla last month.
“(The new platforms) are to handle the increasing number of shipments registered in theseareas,” the company said in a statement.
“The platforms play an important role in the logistics of the network as they are the pointswhere different time-definite shipments converge, permitting agility and speed in the services theclient is paying for.”
MRW is one of Spain’s fastest-growing couriers, with over 10,000 staff, 5,000 vehicles andthree aircraft. Last year revenues grew 9% to EUR 564 million.
