Federal Express has named a new president of its Custom Critical division, Virginia Albanese, whosucceeds Jack Pickard when he retires on 1 June.
Albanese is currently vice-president of operations and customer service for FedEx CustomCritical, which provides expedited and time-definite shipping by ground and air, as well asspecialised services requiring extra security, handling care or temperature control. The serviceoperates in North America and internationally to meet critical delivery times.
Pickard has been president and CEO of FedEx Custom Critical since 2001 and before that servedin senior management positions in the FedEx Freight division, and its predecessor Roberts Express,going back to 1986.
His successor, also a Custom Critical employee since the Roberts Express days, has an MBAfrom Kent State University and has been vice-president since 2001.
