DHL has launched a new express delivery service for documents and parcelswithin the Moscow region – Intracity Express.
The service covers door-to-door delivery of parcels and documents withinMoscow city and around 90 other locations.
Intracity Express is targeted at companies and individuals and can be used incombination with other services, including Saturday pick-up and delivery, and pro-activetracking.
Due to the rapidly growing demand for express delivery in Russia, DHL plans toexpand Intracity Express to other big cities across the country, including St Petersburg, NizhniyNovgorod, Naberezhnye Chelny, Krasnodar, Ekateringburg, Novorossiysk, Perm, Irkutsk andNovosibirsk.
“Moscow is one of the largest and most dynamic cities in the world. Thereforewe have to keep pace with the customers’needs for high-quality express-delivery services fordocuments and parcels,” said Mark Jordan, commercial director of DHL Russia.
Customers using the service could reduce their costs by a third through theselection of optimal delivery dates, he added.
