DHL won six top awards at the 2007 Asian Freight & Supply

DHL won six top awards at the 2007 Asian Freight & Supply Chain Awards held in Macau on April25. The operator said that the awards reaffirmed its market leadership and service excellence in

air express and logistics offerings in Asia Pacific.

DHL picked up the trophies as Best Express Operator, Best Lead Logistics Provider, Best 3PL,Best Air Freight Forwarder, Best Project Cargo Forwarder and Best Sea Freight Forwarder.

The win in the highly coveted Best Express Operator Award category, for a record 21stconsecutive year, is highly significant as DHL is the only company to have won this award since itsintroduction in 1987 at the Asian Freight Industry Awards – the predecessor of the AFSCAs, DHL saidin a statement.

 “Being the only logistics company to have won the Best Express Operator Award is a hugeaccomplishment for us at DHL,” said Scott Price, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Express – AsiaPacific. “We are very encouraged by this win; it is another excellent showcase for DHL’sbest-in-class logistics capabilities, which have been designed to meet our customers’ evolvinglogistics needs.”

Price received the Best Express Operator award from Huw Harris, publisher of Cargonews Asia,which organises the awards.
