The German express operator GO! Express & Logistics grew about 20% last year and won marketshare.
The independent company, owned by 15 medium-sized firms, said it increased volumes by 20% to2.4 million shipments, while its turnover grew proportionately to EUR 240 million. This gave it a3% share of the German CEP market, based on an estimated market size of EUR 9.2 billion.
GO!,, which claims 70,000 customers, said that its rapid growth was based on qualityperformance, substantial investment and the extension of its network. It now has 1,400 employees,3,000 couriers and more than 100 own depots in Germany and in other European countries.
“The focus on the courier and express business in Europe, strategic marketing, strong qualitymanagement and significant investment in the network were and remain the key foundations togenerate the continued growth,” commented managing director Ralf-Hans Dierks. He also highlightedthe good cooperation between the company’s 15 shareholders, system partners, advisory board andmanagement.
Looking ahead to this year, Dierks predicted that GO! would again grow at a double-digitrate.
