TNT Express’ operations in Bahrain, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates have been awarded ISO 14001certificates for environmental management, strengthening the company’s hand as it seeks to expand
business in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.It is the third international management certificate TNT has been awarded over the past yearfor its activities in the GCC region, whose countries also include Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The company has also achieved the OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety standard and ISO9001 for operation excellence. In addition, it claims to be the only business in the Gulf holdingcertification for Social Accountability International’s SA8000 standard promoting ethicalworkplaces.
