Aramex expands at Heathrow

 Aramex has expanded its European operation at London Heathrow, moving to a 30,000 square-footpremises which enables it to bring three of its companies under one roof.



The new Aramex House in Colnbrook brings all the London Heathrow operations of Aramex,Priority Airfreight and TwoWay Vanguard together for the first time in one centre – in readinessfor the re-branding of the whole group as Aramex.

The move follows the acquisitions of Priority Airfreight, the UK-based express serviceprovider, and TwoWay-Vanguard, the Dublin-based logistics and freight service provider, in 2005 and2006, respectively

“We have a fantastic new location which will enable us to consolidate our service offeringsas a one-stop-shop transportation provider and to grow our freight, logistics and expressbusinesses,” said Camille Nasrallah, Aramex senior vice-president based at the new building.

“Being located here, we’re also ideally placed for the opening of Heathrow Airport Terminal 5when it goes live and our access to one of the world’s leading international air hubs couldn’t besimpler,” she added.

Meanwhile, Aramex last week unveiled a new air and land cool chain to facilitate the movementof perishables in the Middle East and eventually Asia and Europe.

“With the explosive growth in the global trade of flowers and perishables, there is anincreasing demand for innovative logistics and commercial solutions to enable the industry toreduce transit times, improve the quality and grow profits,” the company said.

Aramex is to operate an extensive network covering by land the six Gulf Cooperation Councilcountries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – through a hubin Dubai, which will receive the flowers by air from key markets such as Africa, Latin America,Europe, Holland.
