Gary Crittenden has withdrawn his name from election to the board of United Parcel Service,following his appointment as chief financial officer at Citigroup.
The UPS board announced in February that it had nominated Crittenden to stand for election asa director at the annual shareholder meeting on 10 May.
He was then CFO for American Express, but following his subsequent move to Citigroup,explained UPS, Crittenden cannot under Citigroup rules serve on more than one outside board.
Mike Eskew, Scott Davis, Michael Burns, Stuart Eizenstat, James Kelly, Ann Livermore, VictorPelson, Carol Tome, John Thompson and Ben Verwaayen are directors seeking re-election to the boardat the meeting.
