The US express companies Now Courier and Network Delivery have merged to form Now Delivery toprovide time-critical transportation and logistics services throughout New England.
The merger creates one of the largest employee stock ownership courier companies in the USand will be headed by Don Smith, former president of Sky Courier, the Airborne Express subsidiary.
Now Delivery chief operating officer Stephen Wright commented: “As our CEO, Don will beresponsible for the calculated movement into other markets, further solidifying our position as thedominant courier and logistics company in the Southern New England marketplace.”
The new company, which is seeking to embark on an immediate expansion programme, isheadquartered in Providence, Rhode Island.
