The DHL corporate film “Just In Time” has scooped a prestigious award by winning a gold medal andthe prestigious Grand Award at the New York Film Festival in the “International Film & Video
Awards” competition in the category Corporate Image. The film, which last year won the German Corporate Film Award (DeutscherWirtschaftsfilmpreis), impressed the jury primarily with its imaginative approach, DHL said in astatement. The film combines an entertaining and emotional story with information about thecompany: saving the world in eight days while incidentally organizing one’s own wedding – not asimple matter for secret agent John Graham Ashton; only aided by a strong partner (such as DHL) canthis mission be accomplished.
“Our goal was to make a modern corporate film featuring a gripping and diverting story thatinforms viewers about the services the company offers,” explains Heike Schock, head of the publicrelations department. In order to ensure an especially fresh approach, the company took its projectto film colleges. DHL finally chose the young and dynamic team led by the director Oliver Frohnauerfrom the Film Academy in Ludwigsburg, who collaborated in the making of the film with theproduction company teamWorx. “The James Bond-like film appealed to us immediately, because the filmportrayed in an emotional and entertaining manner company attributes and values likeinternationalism, speed, reliability and team spirit,” Schock said.
The New York Film Festival has been held for the last fifty years. The jury for theInternational Film & Video Awards consists of producers, directors and writers.
