FedEx Express is sponsoring the McLaren Mercedes Formula One motor racing outfit in a long-termdeal allowing the company to display its logo on the team’s drivers’ overalls while in turn
providing logistics services to McLaren.The McLaren team, whose main sponsor these days is the Vodafone mobile telephone company, hasachieved unprecedented success in Formula One racing with a record 11 drivers’ world championshiptitles, eight constructor’s titles, the highest number of double race wins (14) of any pair ofFormula One drivers and the most grand prix wins in a season (15 out of 16).
FedEx Express, announcing the deal in a statement, said it shared with Vodafone McLarenMercedes the same set of values: leadership, teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to be the best.The FedEx logo will now be visible to a worldwide monitored audience of 2.75 billion.

I have no doubt Fernando will again be the driver to beat thisyear as he aims to win his third championship in a row,” commented Robert Elliott, president forFedEx Express Europe, Middle East, Indian subcontinent and Africa.
The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-21 Formula One cars in their 2007 livery were presented tothe public earlier this month at a track in Valencia, Spain, where Alonso and team-mate Hamiltonprovided a breathtaking demonstration of the cars.
Team boss Ron Dennis, who is also chairman of the McLaren group, remarked: “I am pleased thatFedEx Express, a truly outstanding company, has joined our Team, and am proud the company’s logo,one of the world’s most respected and well-known, will adorn our driver’s overalls as we seek toadd to our Grand Prix and World Championship success this season.”
