Leading Italian express parcels company Bartolini has opened two new depots, one in the town ofVercelli, between Milan and Turin, and the other at Savona on Italy’s northern coast.
The Vercellil facility, covering 1,500 sqm and equipped with an automatic parcel sortingsystem, is 1km from the motorway and 1km from the town centre.
“The opening of the new depot will allow us to serve Vercelli and its province moreefficiently, together with the areas between the towns of Candia Lomellina and Vigevano,” Bartolinisaid in a statement.
Savona’s new installation covers 1,200 sqm and is 1km from the motorway and 5km from the citycentre. It is also equipped with an automatic parcel sorting system which Bartolini says will helpimprove the quality of service in the city and its surrounding province.
Bartolini now has 145 branches in Italy and uses DPD and the EuroExpress courier distributionnetwork for deliveries throughout 22 European countries.
