DHL Express Korea has opened a new service centre in the Seongsu area, merging previous facilitiesin Gangnam and Jangan.
The new centre is the fourth logistics installation that DHL Express has opened in SouthKorea over the past year, the others being in Gyeongseo, Seocho and Pusan.
“The Seongsu service centre will increase the efficiency and productivity of DHL’s operationsin the region,” the company said in a statement.
DHL is expanding rapidly in Korea and in November announced a new $50 million investmentprogramme, taking spending to $68 million in five years.
The new investment, driven by booming trade between the peninsula and China, is to upgradeits 85 service centres in the country and enlarge the DHL express facility at Incheon airport.
