TNT to open new call centre in northern France

TNT Express is to open a second call centre, creating 60 new jobs, in Tourcoing, doubling thenumber of its operators and their support staff in the French town that borders Belgium.



The new call centre operators, to be recruited by May, are to respond to international callsfrom TNT B2B and B2C clients following the success of a first centre, in the Mercure Tower inTourcoing, dedicated to commercial prospection.

“The (first) experience was very positive. We have found people in the region to be motivatedand productive,” said TNT Express France president Eric Jacquemet.

TNT delivers 350,000 parcels and documents a day in France, where it has 4,600 staff.

“European companies are developing business with Asia and more particularly China,” addedJacquemet.

“Our role as an express carrier is to accompany them in making the link between theiractivities in France and their activities in China.”
