DHL has opened a prestigious “shipping spot” at NBC Universal’s store in the heart of Manhattan.The self-service counter will allow visitors to New York to send purchases home, and gifts
worldwide, and save them the trouble of carrying the shopping about throughout the rest of theirstay in the city, says the Deutsche Post subsidiary.The service is based in the NBC Experience Store in the Rockefeller Center and is advertisedover Christmas on NBC’s prime-situated audiovisual panel in Times Square.
A user-friendly touch screen allows customers to pack, weigh and label DHL packages in thestore, whether or not they have bought goods there, and send them via domestic express, ground andinternational services.
“Our new agreement with the NBC Experience Store is another important retail partnership thathelps DHL become more accessible for shippers looking for convenience and ease in completingshopping and delivery in one easy step,” said Charles Brewer, DHL executive vice-president (sales).
“We’re pleased to welcome this popular entertainment brand in the heart of New York City toour convenience network.”
