UPS offers 09.00 delivery

United Parcel Service is introducing 09.00 delivery guarantees in 30 key trading markets worldwidefrom 1 January, adding to its existing 12 noon and end-of-day time-definite services in what the

company says is the largest expansion of its international shipping portfolio in a decade.

While early morning, midday and end-of-day delivery times are standard in the U.S., importersand exporters have had to put up with just one or two TDD international air shipment options, saysUPS.

The improved service means UPS will have three TDD products: Worldwide Express Plus (deliveryby 09:00 at the latest),  Worldwide Express (delivery 10:30-12.00, depending on destination)and Worldwide Saver (end-of-day).

The new service is to “sharpen and expand” on lanes between the U.S., Asia, Europe and theAmericas, serving 30 markets that “account for 83% of global GDP”.

“This latest expansion of UPS service options redefines industry standards for deliverybetween the U.S. and other leading economic centres around the world,” said Kurt Kuehn, UPS seniorvice president of worldwide sales and marketing.

“This change to UPS’s international portfolio, combined with our industry-leading technology,gives US importers and exporters more flexibility and greater precision to help them manage today’sjust-in-time supply chain models,” Kuehn added.

The 30 markets in which the three delivery options will be offered are: Australia, Austria,Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, India,Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal,Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and VaticanCity.
