GLS invests in Slovenia

GLS

GLS has modernised its parcel facilities in Slovenia in order to improve its quality standards inthe Central European country. Its volumes there have risen about 12% this year.



The Royal Mail subsidiary said that GLS Slovenia had spent about EUR 250,000 on upgrading itsinfrastructure, including a new IT system and high quality video surveillance systems.

Most of the investment was dedicated to the main hub in the capital, Ljubljana, where itcurrently handled about 5,000 parcels a day. The hub has capacity for up to 12,000 parcels per day.

GLS said that it is among the top three parcel companies in Slovenia, where it also hasdepots in Maribor, Celje and Koper.
