Target Express named as primary carrier for UK Leisurewear

Target Express, one of Britain’s leading independent express delivery companies, has gained amulti-million pound deal with UK Leisurewear, becoming the promotional and corporate garment

specialist’s nominated carrier for both domestic and international deliveries.

A key factor in UK Leisurewear’s decision to select Target was the carrier’s capacity toaccommodate the commercial growth of UK Leisurewear over the three-year duration of the agreement.Tracy Richards, Managing Director at UK Leisurewear commented: “We are a company with veryambitious growth plans, and Target’s ability to adapt to our evolving needs was a key reason behindselecting them as our nominated carrier for all UK and International deliveries.”

“We are very happy to be working in partnership with Target and we have been very pleasedwith their levels of service,” she added.

Indeed, Target’s ability to create a bespoke delivery solution is already having an impactfor UK Leisurewear, as Target’s internal IT team has recently completed the development of acustomised software package that will provide the promotional garment specialist with increasedcontrol over the delivery process. “The new system developed by Target will speed up the deliveryprocess for us,” Richards added. “Efficiency is a key issue as our last orders are taken at 4.30pm,and customers are guaranteed delivery for the next day before noon.”

Target has also developed a co-branded liveried trailer for the UK Leisurewear account,providing valuable brand exposure throughout the country. Target Express Sales and MarketingDirector Stuart Godman commented: “We are very proud to have been selected by UK Leisurewear to betheir nominated carrier. As with all our customers we are committed to providing “Silver Service”,and everyone involved at Target Express is looking forward to a long and successful workingpartnership with UK Leisurewear.”

For the first time, Target Express has also co-branded three other double-deck supercubetrailers with livery that incorporates the branding of one of its key customers. Individualliveries have been designed for high-street retailer Superdrug, I.T. wholesaler Computer 2000,sports and workwear specialist UK Leisurewear and fashion retailer Jane Norman. Each trailer willbe utilised throughout the UK network to maximise brand awareness.

Sales and marketing director Godman explained: “Target Express has always been a customercentric business, and this can be seen through the number of long-term relationships we haveestablished with businesses across a wide selection of industry sectors. The new liveried trailersare a physical example of these partnerships; unleashing the brand exposure potential of bothTarget Express and our key customers.”
