Time:matters, the Lufthansa Cargo express subsidiary, has launched a new urgent delivery servicefor eBay “power sellers” in Germany. Online retailers can now deliver items such as spare parts or
urgent products to customers same-day as well as the usual next-day service.Ebay power sellers are professional retailers who trade large volumes through Ebay on aregular basis. Under the new service targeted at this customer segment, time:matters will deliveritems across Germany within a time-frame of 2-4 hours. Buyers who need their goods urgently canselect the same-day express service.
The German courier, express and emergency logistics company uses a variety of transportmodes, including Lufthansa and Deutsche Bahn, delivery vans or courier bikes, as well as otherlogistics partners to deliver the item as quickly as possible. The transport chain is continuallymonitored and goods are automatically insured for a value of up to €2,500.
“Power sellers can place their orders with time:matters round the clock and thus offercustomers an attractive time-based added value,” commented Björn Behrendt, Senior Manager ateBay Germany. “The detailed monitoring of the individual shipments is the guarantee that therelevant delivery is always correctly shipped and thus reaches the recipient rapidly andpunctually,” added Frederik Luz, time:matters sales director and manager of the Ebay project.
