Deutsche Post wins Best Annual Report award

Deutsche Post AG said it has been awarded first place in a German ranking for its corporatereporting in 2005. In this year’s manager magazin’s “Best Annual Report” ranking, Deutsche Post is

in top position.

Its reporting has thus jumped from sixth place last year, to the top. The elements assessedwere the content, financial communication, format, language and reporting efficiency of more than200 annual reports, Deutsche Post said in a statement.

“We are delighted with this award, which confirms our excellent communication with ourshareholders. An accurate and consistent information policy is an important condition forstrengthening the trust of investors in Deutsche Post World Net, which ultimately benefits allshareholders, employees and customers,” commented Klaus Zumwinkel, the corporation’s CEO andChairman, at the award ceremony on September 5, 2006 in Frankfurt.

The four expert assessor teams and the independent jury considered that a key factor in itstop ranking was the outstandingly high efficiency of the Deutsche Post report. “The annual reportis striking for its transparency, and its brevity,” adds manager magazin.
manager magazin has been examining the annual reports of Germany’s and Europe’s major publiccompanies listed on the Dax, M-Dax, S-Dax, Tec-Dax and the European stock market segment Stoxx 50since 1995. The manager magazin competition is the most comprehensive comparison in Germany, andone of the largest worldwide.

Deutsche Post already received the award “World’s Best IR WebsiteTM” from the leadingconsultancy firm IR Web Report in May 2006, as the best in the industry. The online reporting pageswere assessed in terms of depth of information, up-to-dateness, transparency, service quality anduser friendliness. IR Web Report, located in Toronto, was formed in 2000, and is an independentbenchmark service for online investor relations evaluation. IR Web Report assesses more than 500international companies every year.
