DHL-Sinotrans has officially launched its TDD Import Express (IMP) service for shipments fromAsia Pacific and Europe to China. The company said the new service would cement its leadership of
the Chinese express market.Import Express is a fast and reliable service that allows DHL’s customers to import goods fromoverseas suppliers. Since its launch in 1995, demand for the service has steadily increased, drivenlargely by increased trade flows and customers’ need for greater control over the cost, speed andreliability of their imports, DHL-Sinotrans said in a statement.
A suite of time-definite delivery products, DHL’s TDD portfolio comprises StartDay Express,which offers guaranteed door-to-door delivery by 9 am, and MidDay Express for deliveries by noonthe next day. To support China’s growing trade with countries in Asia Pacific and Europe,DHL-Sinotrans combined its TDD and Import Express offerings, with the new service covering up to 38countries and territories in Asia Pacific and Europe.
With the new TDD IMP service, DHL-Sinotrans’ customers will not only gain from the exemplaryspeed provided by TDD, they can now also enjoy the incorporated IMP benefits, such as thesimplicity and control of having one point of contact, one fixed price and one invoice for alltheir import requirements with centralized billing — significantly increasing the convenience ofspeedy cross-border shipments.
