Spanish private mail operator Unipost said it has linked up with DHL Global Mail to offerinternational services for letters and parcels. DPWN holds a 37.6% stake in the company.
Under a strategic agreement, Unipost is now offering a range of DHL Global Mail internationalproducts, including business mail, direct mailing, newspaper and magazine distribution, and parcelshipments of items weighing up to 31.5 kg.
Unipost, which counts some 15,000 corporate customers in Spain, will thus compete with Correos,the Spanish national postal operator, in the international mail market segment. The company carried471 million items last year and increased revenues by about 15% to €78.6 million.
