FedEx under fire for bullet shipment to Cambodia

FedEx has been blamed for a shipment of bullets that ended up in the US Embassy in Cambodia,according to reports in various Asian newspapers. Cambodia has now ordered an official inquiry into

the incident.

The shipment of 140,000 hunting bullets was apparently flown by FedEx from New York to Bangkokwhere it was transferred to a Thai Airways International flight to Phnom Penh and then delivered tothe US Embassy there. US officials handed the bullets over to Cambodian authorities.

Thai Airways said in a statement that the shipment should have been of four works of artdestined for a new US Aid building in Phnom Penh. The mix-up apparently occurred in New York wherethe shipping documentation for the artwork was wrongly put by FedEx on to the boxes containing thebullets. The bullets should have been sent to four different destinations in other countries.
