TNT Express said it is the first and only transport and logistics supplier in Germany to gainISO certification for information security.
The company’s management system for information security has gained the ISO/IEC
27001:2005 certification. This means that TNT Express can guarantee the confidentiality,integrity and availability of all information at all locations and in all company departments, itsaid in a statement. The certification extends the existing recognition of its quality performanceinto a new area.
“With the certification and the related extension of the integrated management system, TNTExpress has a clear innovation leader and a USP compared to our direct competitors in Germany,”commented Mark Fonseca, head of Corporate Services, ICS and F&A. The information securitymanagement system was developed by the TNT Express Information and Communication Services (ICS)unit.
