TNT UK wins document and mail contracts

TNT companies in the UK have won new contracts to handle documents and mail for two largeBritish administrative and commercial organisations.

TNT Document Services, part of TNT Express Specialist Services, has won a multi-million poundfive-year contract extension from Land Registry. The TNT company has enjoyed a long-standingcommercial partnership with Land Registry that has already encompassed the electronic scanning of18 million property title plans in England and Wales and 16 million supporting documents and 90million items.

“TNT Document Services has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of our requirements and aninnovative approach. Their data conversion system allows us to take advantage of new technologiesand offer sound business benefits,” said the Land Registry’s Chief Procurement Officer, TimLeaver.

The TNT company, formerly known as Cendris UK, specialises in scanning and digital archiving ofpaper documents such as invoices, maps and official documents, data management of electronic files,as well as contract printing. It generates annual revenue in excess of £20 million and employs a280-strong workforce in London, Basildon, Glasgow and Coventry, with a further 300 employeeslocated at its offshore data centre in Mauritius.

Separately, one of the UK’s leading department stores, House of Fraser, has outsourced its headoffice internal mailroom activities to TNT Managed Services. The three-year deal includes mailroommanagement, loading bay and reprographics service. Thousands of items of internal mail will besorted every week under the guidance of TNT’s on-site operations manager and a three-strongteam.
