TNT Italy has successfully demonstrated an Olympic performance at the recent Winter Games inTurin and this week’s Paralympics. As official logistics and express services providers, TNT
Express Italy and TNT Logistics Italy teamed up to provide a full range of services for the twomajor sporting events.A special team of 350 staff and 100 vehicles was set up to supply goods to the three Olympicvillages and the various sporting locations. The organisation also supplied equipment to thebroadcasting centre and handled all the entry tickets for the events.
TNT said that it successfully provided services to the full satisfaction of the Winter OlympicsOrganising Committee despite an ongoing debate about the distances between the various locations.This included a shuttle service between logistics supply bases and sports locations up in theAlps.
TNT then managed the reorganisation and reconstruction of some sports arenas for therequirements of disabled participants at the Paralympics.
