TNT completes sale of French logistics businesses

TNT announced today that it has completed the sale of its French logistics businesses. The Dutchgroup said it has signed an agreement with Pierre–Michel Mendy/Groupe Lapegue for the sale of the

activities of Transports Pierre Mendy and Mendy Ltda, part of the activities of TNT’s Frenchsubsidiary TNT Logistics Holdings SAS.

This transaction, together with the transactions announced on 1st December 2005, 2nd January and27th January 2006, completes the sale of the TNT Logistics France business unit, TNT said. Neitherthe French Express business unit of TNT nor its French Freight Management business are involved orimpacted by this deal.

TNT has announced that the expected negative financial impact relating to the sale and refocusof the French Logistics business unit is to be up to €140 million pre-tax, and to be booked largelyin 2005.

Under its strategic refocusing, TNT plans to sell its entire logistics activities around theworld.
