DHL is offering 10 scholarships, with a total value of S$500,000, to attend a Dual Master ofScience Program in Logistics & Supply Chain Management by the Logistics Institute – Asia
Pacific in Singapore. The scholarship is open to candidates from Singapore, Hong Kong, China andIndia, including DHL employees.The 18-month full-time program (August 2006 to December 2007) is a joint degree between theNational University of Singapore (NUS) and Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) in the UnitedStates. Classes will be held in both Universities and candidates will have to complete a six-monthcourse-related assignment in DHL’s offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, China or India. On thecompletion of the assignment, candidates will be placed on a three-year contract at DHL inSingapore. Each scholarship is worth S$50,000. Successful candidates will receive two MasterDegrees, one from each institution.
DHL said that the sponsorship, which is jointly supported by the Singapore Economic DevelopmentBoard, is part of its commitment to nurture a pool of talent and specialists to meet the growth ofits business, as well as to raise the level of standards and professionalism in the logisticsindustry.

Last October, DHL established the DHL Logistics Management University (DHL LMU), a managementtraining facility in Shanghai, China, for its employees and customers in Asia Pacific. The DHL LMUcomplements DHL’s Asia Pacific Learning Center, based in Singapore, which is tasked with theresponsibilities of designing and implementing training programs, including e-learning modules forDHL staff in the region.
