DHL has extended its Time Definite Delivery (TDD) service within Asia by linking up trade lanesbetween Japan, India and Malaysia. The TDD service now covers 38 countries worldwide, 10 in the
Asia-Pacific region, six in the Middle East and 22 in Europe.DHL Japan said that Bangalore and Chennai along with Kuala Lumpur had been added to the TDDnetwork. This meant that Japanese customers now benefited from TDD services to 17 cities in 10Asian-Pacific countries. The expanded service guarantees its Japanese customers delivery ofdocuments to Kuala Lumpur by noon of the day after pick-up and to Bangalore and Chennai by noon ofthe third day after pick-up. Launched at the start of 2003, the TDD portfolio comprises a suite of time-definite deliveryproducts: StartDay Express, MidDay Express, US Next Day, European Community Express, ImportExpress, and worldwide document and parcel express. The other DHL Express services are grouped intoSame Day, Day Definite and Value Added Services.
