Dubai-based express and logistics group Aramex International said it has won an internationaldelivery contract for a Middle East shopping chain designed to offer foreign tourists hassle-free
home delivery of their purchases. Its subsidiary Memo Express has signed an agreement with ErosDigital Home to offer international shipping services for customers shopping at their stores.Eros Digital Home, which sells leading international consumer electronics and home appliances,will offer international customers the option of having goods bought its stores in the UAE shippedhome by air, sea or land. Memo Express will offer discounted shipping prices for the goods.
The deal enables tourists to buy more goods in Dubai without having to worry about taking theirpurchases home personally. Deepak Babani, Chief Executive Officer of Eros Group, said: “Customerscan now enjoy hassle-free shopping without thinking of the problems of carrying the purchasedproducts back to their destinations.” Hussein Hachem, Aramex Vice President for the UAE,added: “We see this agreement with Eros Digital Home as a very unique platform for both companiesto provide added services for customers in the UAE.”
