GeoPost, the La Poste parcels division, and DPD, its main parcels operator, have announced newmanagement teams following the departure of Claude Béglé to DHL. The shake-up at both companies was
necessary since Béglé headed both GeoPost International and the separate DPD organisation.In a statement, GeoPost stressed that the new structure was designed to strengthen themanagement teams of its European subsidiaries, as well as cooperation between project teams chargedwith implementing the corporate action plans. Chairman Paul-Marie Chavanne stressed: “As thethird-largest European express and parcels carrier, GeoPost will continue to develop itsinternational products to be able to offer customers innovative and customised products.”
The new GeoPost management board, headed by chairman Paul-Marie Chavanne, comprises Thomas Lot(CEO Chronopost), Hans Fluri, (CEO GeoPost Germany), Alexis Ruset (Executive Vice President incharge of strategy), and Yolaine de Courson (Executive Vice President in charge of finances).
Germany CEO Hans Fluri will also be responsible for Benelux and Switzerland at board level,while Wolfgang Lehmacher will be responsible for international development outside Europe. At DPDGermany, Arnold Schroven will become joint managing director alongside CEO Hans Fluri. The othersenior management positions at GeoPost’s European subsidiaries are unchanged.
