Post Austria has launched its European mail expansion with the 100 per cent acquisition ofHungarian firm Feibra. The company is the market leader for unaddressed bulk mail in Hungary with
some 35 million items per month. Post Austria, which recently opened a sales office in Germany,said it was following customers into neighbouring Hungary. The overall Hungarian postal market isgrowing at an annual rate of 15 per cent, and thus contains considerable potential, it said in astatement.Following its parcels expansion into the neighbouring markets of Slovenia, Slovakia and Croatia,the market entry in Hungary was a further step in coverage of the south-eastern European market,the Austrian post office said.
