Deutsche Post buys another Dutch mail firm

Deutsche Post World Net (DPWN) has bought a majority stake in the Dutch company MailMerge, itslatest acquisition in its neighbouring postal market. The deal makes the Deutsche Post group, with

subsidiaries Selekt Mail Nederland, Interlanden, Selektvracht and DHL Global Mail, the largestprivate postal service company in the Netherlands, DPWN said.

MailMerge, which has cooperated with the DPWN mail firms since 2003, is specialised in businesspost and handles some 40 million letters per year. It is the largest deliverer of mail into the POboxes of the Dutch post office. MailMerge will continue to operate under the existing managementand under its own name.
