Claude Béglé, previously head of GeoPost International, will move to the Deutsche Post World Netgroup as head of DHL Express in Germany and Central Europe, DPWN has announced. Béglé, 56, will
assume the roles of Chief Operating Officer for DHL Express Germany and Managing Director DHLExpress Central Europe, covering Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary,Slovenia and Slovakia.As head of the Geopost International Division, Béglé successfully developed the internationalnetwork of the DPD group from its German and European base. It was recently reported that he hadbeen approached by DPWN, and he is believed to have resigned from GeoPost last week.
At DHL, Béglé will report to Peter Kruse, DPWN management board member and CEO of DHL ExpressEurope. His predecessors in the two posts were recently appointed to new positions. Marco Demuth,was appointed Head of Sales and a Member of the Divisional Board MAIL Germany, while ChrisMuntwyler, 52, previously Managing Director DHL Express Central Europe, has become ManagingDirector of DHL Express UK.
