Schenker BITCC Logistics (Beijing) Co. Ltd., the Chinese subsidiary of German-based logisticsgroup Schenker, has opened a new multimodal logistics centre next to Beijing’s Capital Airport.
Besides air and sea freight and land transport services, it offers customized logistics solutions,aimed above all at customers in the high-tech, electronics and automotive industries. Theultra-modern multifunctional facility has almost 13,000 square metres of warehouse space, more than10,000 pallet places and 13 loading docks, making it the most up-to-date logistics centre inBeijing.Schenker has a network of over 30 offices in China and a majority 70 per cent holding inSchenker BITCC Logistics, founded in 2003 as a Joint Venture with the Beijing InternationalTechnology Cooperation Center (BITCC). As well as the ‘A’ license for the handling of internationalfreight transport, the company also has licenses for customs clearance, truck transport, airfreight and a bonded customs warehouse.
