DHL Enhances Time Definite Delivery (TDD) Service with new Middle East destinations

TDD connects Asia Pacific to over 200 business centres in six Gulf States

DHL, the world’ s leading express and logistics company, has further enhanced the geographicalreach of its industry-defining Time Definite Delivery (TDD) service, which now connects the AsiaPacific region to six Gulf States – Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United ArabEmirates.

A suite of time-definite delivery products, DHL’ s TDD portfolio comprises of StartDay Express,which offers guaranteed door-to-door delivery by 9 am and MidDay Express for deliveries by noon.Customers are able to track the status of their shipments via the DHL website, and DHL pro-activelynotifies TDD customers, via email or facsimile, once the deliveries have been made. If there areany delays, customers will be notified and refunded the total transportation charges in accordancewith DHL’ s Money-Back Guarantee Terms and Conditions, should the cause of the delay lie withDHL.

DHL provides the biggest network in Asia Pacific for this unique service offering, with TDDbeing available in 20 cities across 12 countries in the region. Just recently Mumbai and New Delhihave been added to the Asia Pacific cluster. Previously, TDD had only been available within theindividual geographical regions of Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East or Africa. The new enhancementeffectively bridges the two regions of Asia and the Middle East. With this new development, DHLcustomers in 12 Asia Pacific countries will be able to send shipments to more than 200 cities andbusiness centres in the Middle East through the use of MidDay Express and DHL’ s guaranteeddelivery promise. The new TDD connection between Asia Pacific and the Middle East caters tocompanies in import and export businesses in the two regions that require a short lead time fordelivery of their documents and samples.

If DHL is responsible for the delivery being later than promised, thetotal transportation charges will be refunded based on the Money-back Guarantee Terms andConditions.
Notification of
Delivery
Shippers will be notified by e-mail or fax upon delivery of the parcel.The shipper will also be notified of late deliveries and a report on the cause will be sentlater.
Use Precautions * Service is not available on weekends and holidays.(except in theMiddle East) “Next morning” and “next day” refer to the next DHL business day at the destination.
* The delivery area for StartDay Express and MidDay Express is limited.
* The parcel pickup deadline varies according to the region.
* Fuel Surcharge applies to the total transportation charge which includes StartDay/MidDayExpress premium.
