TNT increases its network across the Gulf

ITP Business reported that, TNT Express has added 20 countries  to its ‘expressimport’ service. The Service allows customers to arrange collections from an overseas client

and pay for the delivery in their own currency. It also allows customers to send shipments overseasand the recipients pay for the transaction in their local currency. 

ITP Business quotes Mark Pell, managing director, Gulf & Saudi Arabia at TNT: “With all theGCC countries already being well established in the express import network this expansion gives ourregion wide clientele access to a greater geographic spread whilst removing any difficultiesarising from exchange rate conversions or fluctuations. Customer service is at the heart ofeverything we do and the expansion of express import to some of the Gulf’s key trading partnersshows our commitment to handling all our customer’s import requirements.” Among the countries nowjoining the express import network are Iraq, Libya, Brunei, Columbia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, ElSalvador, Guatemala, Madagascar and Morocco.

According to the source TNT announced in advanced that another 25 countries will beadded within six months. “The express import network stands at well over 100 countries and it isTNT’s intention to continue the expansion until it reaches every country in the world,” Pell iscited.
