Dutch postal and logistics company TNT Post Group and press distributor Agence et Messageries dela Presse (AMP) announced that they will introduce a parcel service for Belgian consumers as
well as small and medium-sized enterprises on July 1, 2005. With this service, TNT Postis further expanding its existing business in the Belgian postal market. With the new serviceParcels within Belgium and the rest of Europe will be delivered in a period of 24 to 72hours. Initially the new service will only be available at 15 newsagents in Brussels area ofIxelles and Etterbeek. The company aims to provide a nationwide service though more than 600newsagents by the end of this year.Three days ago TNT N.V. announced that it is not participating in the sales processlaunched by the Belgian Government to sell a minority stake in Belgian De Post/La Poste (‘DP/LP’).
