Exel recently added a new logistics management station at the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ)in the Philippines. The station will provide a full range of freight management and logistics
services to companies located in the CSEZ and the neighbouring Subic Bay Freeport and SpecialEconomic Zone.Established in 1985, Exel in the Philippines has over 800 employees at 12 locations and has beenhandling shipments for several customers in the Clark and Subic areas for a number of years. Aswell as being the first in the industry to be certified in ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001, Exel has alsobeen consistently listed in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Top 10 ranking andwas recognised as one of the top five employers in the Philippines according to a survey conductedby Hewitt, a global HR sourcing and consulting firm, in 2000. The opening of the new station willoffer Exel the opportunity to consolidate the ongoing growth of its business operations in thecountry.

In the Philippines, Exel is currently working with Rosettanet, a consortium driving a commontechnology language across the supply chain industry, for the adoption of quality standards in theClark station. Pilot runs are currently being conducted for the station with a view to fullimplementation of the standard later in the year.
